Bimectin Paste – Parasitic Treatment for Horses

Bimectin is an effective treatment for Bots affecting horses. It is a proven anthelmintic and boticide. It provides effective treatment and prevention of the following parasites.

Bimectin helps in the treatment and prevention of Summer Sores caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. cutaneous third-stage larvae and Dermatitis caused by Neck Threadworm microfilariae, Onchocerca sp. The oral paste treats nematodes and bots of horses. Bimectin is a potent antiparasitic agent. When given regularly, it helps in preventing the gastrointestinal worm infections.

Bimectin for Horses

Bimectin contains potent ingredient – Ivermectin. It is a powerful anthelmintic and provides wide range of protection against multiple worms and strongyles. The apple flavored paste is highly palatable. Bimectin comes in paste form in syringe, which makes it easy to administer. The calibrated syringe ensures accurate dosing and the gel form treatment allows easy absorption.

  • Should be given orally.
  • Each marking on the syringe delivers enough paste for 250lb bodyweight.
  • While holding the plunger, turn the ring on the plunger ¼ turn to the left and slide it so the side nearest the barrel is at the prescribed weight marking.
  • Lock the ring in place by making a 1/4 turn to the right.
  • Make sure that the horse’s mouth contains no feed.
  • Uncover the tip of the syringe.
  • Insert the syringe tip into the horse’s mouth at the space between the teeth.
  • Depress the plunger as far as it will go, depositing paste on the back of the tongue.
  • After applying, immediately raise the horse’s head for a few seconds after dosing.
