Going as far back as the 6th century, raspberries have been known and documented to have beneficial effects during pregnancy and childbirth. Made available by Dorwest, these raspberry leaf tablets are specially formulated for female dogs and cats. These tablets serve as highly effective birth aids and prepare the pets for whelping or kittening. Compounds like fragerine found in the raspberry leaves help in toning the uterus. 

These tablets consist of several vitamins and minerals namely, vitamins A, B, C, D, and E, tannins, iron, calcium, and magnesium. While iron assists in the efficient functioning of red blood cells, tannins contribute to maintaining the health of the reproductive organs. Magnesium is ideal for maintaining the strength of the uterine muscles, and vitamin B regulates hormones. These tablets can be administered to pets above 8 weeks of age.

• During Pregnancy: For every 22 lbs (10 kg) of weight, administer 1 tablet a day from the third week of gestation. Continue this until one week after whelping or kittening. 
• In Case of Phantom Pregnancy: For every 22 lbs (10 kg) of weight, administer 2 tablets a day from the start of the season. Continue this administration continuously for 12 succeeding weeks.
